Terra Beata receives, cleans, freezes, repacks and markets the fruit from about 25 Atlantic Canadian cranberry farms. These berries are shipped to distributors, repackers and industrial customers across Canada and throughout Europe.
We are large enough to have a reliable supply and a year-round work force, but small enough to meet the individual requests of each customer. We specialize in free-flowing “Grade A” frozen cranberries, although juice grade, ungraded and custom specs are available. Berries can be size graded (>14mm, or <14mm), or sliced to any thickness.
Due to our mild climate at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, our berries are late-harvested, in November and often into December, to capture peak flavour and colour.
While our cranberries are normally white in the center, we can provide the red-in-the-middle cranberries that freeze driers prefer.
We pack to order, whatever your requirements, from 12 oz poly bags to 1000 lb totes. Boxes can be custom labelled to meet various language requirements.
While our main facility is near Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, we operate a second facility near Richibucto, New Brunswick. Both operate year round, packing frozen cranberries to order.
Our Export Advantage
We are one hour from the Port of Halifax, and offer the shortest transit times via container ship to Europe of any North American supplier – 7 days to Liverpool, or 15 days to St. Petersburg, for example.
