At the farm

If your path brings you near Lunenburg, NS, drop in for a visit! Our cranberry harvest is in early November, but we are open year round, Monday to Friday, from 8AM to 4PM. You can buy any of the products we make at the farm, see berries in the fields, and ask all the questions you ever wanted answered about cranberries. We are open on Saturdays as well in the month of October.

Normally, our busy season begins with Open Farm Day on Sunday, September 18. The farm is open that day from 10AM to 5PM for free guided walking tours, educational displays, and plenty of complimentary cranberry refreshments. You can come see how cranberries are grown, and tour inside our processing facility, too.

Our Cranberry U-Pick — the first and only one in Nova Scotia! — opens on October 6 this year  and continues from 10AM to 4PM Monday — Saturday through October, weather permitting. For best colour, a visit later in October would be better. Satisfaction is guaranteed –we grow “Stevens” cranberries, the largest, highest yielding variety around, so you can fill a 4 lb pail in under 45 minutes without even moving.

The u-pick price is $1.50/lb, or $6 for a 4 lb pail. Berry pails are available at the farm. Wear rugged shoes or boots — the field may have muddy spots. If there was an overnight frost, please call ahead (902 634 4435) as the frost protection system may have left ice on the field, delaying picking until the afternoon.
